This is my favorite children's book! It's more than a children's book to me. For me it describes all the things that moving on and trying new things entails. I think that even as an adult we all can relate to this story. We all have to try new things and build new relationships that can be scary to us; but in the end we all have to find out what is best for us. Whether it is moving away from home or your child gaining more independence. Change is inevitable for all of us and it's alright to let go...:)
I love this books as well. The best thing I have seen was a high school teacher gave this book to all graduating seniors. I will have to say, it is hard to make the changes we sometimes need, for example...me learning to "let go" and allow my son to move on to the next chapter in his life....college. I just hope he will see all the places he can go. Love this book!
ReplyDeleteWow that is amazing. I think your son will be fine. :) And yes it is good to let go sometimes!
ReplyDeleteOh, the places you'll go was the last children's ppicture book Dr. Seus wrote & illustrate. The book is a brief story that reminds us that we can be the things we want to be, with a little bit of work and will power.
